Angara region: residents of Vikhorevka complain about the cold in houses and school

Residents of Vikhorevka are afraid of the next breakdown of the heating season. Now on the streets of the city in the afternoon the temperature reaches -30 degrees, and in residential buildings and schools due to problems with communications -does not rise above 10 degrees.

And they are sitting in it, trying to warm up. Little ones are helping. Children in one of the schools are sitting in down jackets and fur coats.”

Problems with heating, according to citizens, touched almost half of the city. According to the last census, 22 thousand inhabitants live in Vikhorevka. The city became known throughout the country after the breakdown of two heating seasons in a row, in 2017, due to an accident in the boiler room and forced disconnecting heating in the city, a state of emergency.

Last week, the Minister of Housing and Energy of the Irkutsk Region Arthur Suleimenov instructed the facilities of public utilities in Vikhorevka. Today, according to the Administration of the Angara region, all residential buildings and social objects of Vikhorevka are connected to heat supply. At the end of last week, the regional government signed an act that all the city’s boiler houses are ready for the heating season of 2017-2018.
