17 foreign currency borrowers detained in Moscow

In Moscow, the police detained 17 foreign currency borrowers when they came to the building of the public reception of the Central Bank. This was reported to the OVD-Info hotline by Marianna Koroseleva.

The detainees were taken to the police department in the Meshchansky district. Law enforcement officers demand that the activists write explanatory notes.

Foreign currency borrowers came to the public reception of the Central Bank with a demand to meet with Mikhail Mamuta, head of the Bank of Russia Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Ensuring Access to Financial Services. According to Koroselyova, the program of assistance to foreign currency borrowers does not work - the activists wanted to discuss this and other issues at a meeting with Mamuta.

UPD: As one of the detainees Alexander Tonko told OVD-Info, they want to charge foreign currency borrowers with organizing an uncoordinated rally (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The man noted that they did not have any posters and banners with them.
