Ali Asanov and Mustafa Degermendzhi, two participants in the February 26 Case, were placed under house arrest until February 7, 2018. It is reported by "Crimea. Realities".
During the hearing, the court rejected Degermendzhi's request to take his mother out to take part in the investigative actions in the case of his father, Bekir Degermendzhi (he and other Crimean Tatar activists were accused of extorting money on an especially large scale from a Turkish citizen).
On April 6, 2017, the Simferopol Court changed the measure of restraint for Mustafa Degermendzhi and Ali Asanov from detention to house arrest. Prior to that, they were in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center. In October, the court extended the deadline until December 7.
Degermendzhi and Asanov are accused of participating in mass riots on February 26, 2014 in Simferopol.
