The airport built from scratch near Rostov will become the most expensive in Russia

The price list of Platov Airport (29 km from Rostov-on-Don), built for the 2018 World Cup, signed by the deputy general director of the regions holding, Sergei Dotsenko, indicates that the tariffs there will significantly exceed the benefits for the use of services in the airport city.

According to the Vedomosti newspaper, the tariff for take -off and landing in Platov will be 1.6 times higher than in the current airport, for aviation security - by 3.2 times, for the provision of an airport complex - 4.7-5 times, for servicing passengers - two to three times.

The size of the fees was established by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) until the end of 2022.

The service of one flight, thus, will rise in price by about 50 thousand - 100 thousand rubles, ticket prices will also increase by overtaking airports in Simferopol, Sochi and St. Petersburg Pulkovo, two airlines told the publication.

As the representative of the "regions", "Plates", unlike the old airport, explains the highest level of service for passengers and, most importantly, flight safety. “Obviously, tariffs in such an airport are higher,” he said.

Platov is the first airport in modern Russia, built from scratch. By December 7, flights from the current airport, which will be closed, should be transferred there.

The new airport belongs to Rostovaeroinvest (75% minus 1 share) and the Rostov region. Its construction cost almost 50 billion rubles, of which 19 billion rubles were invested by the "regions airports" belonging to the "Renov" Viktor Vekselberg and partners.
