The Moscow City Hall refused to approve the rally "In Defense of the Constitution", which was planned to be held along the Boulevard Ring from Strastnoy Boulevard to Academician Sakharov Avenue. This was reported on the PARNAS website.
The events were proposed to be moved to Maryino. The first deputy head of the regional security department, Vladimir Oleinik, told Parnassus the reason for the refusal - holding a demonstration and rally in the declared places “will interfere with the movement of pedestrians and vehicles” and “violate the rights of citizens not participating in the event.”
The action was to take place on December 10 in honor of the 24th anniversary of the Constitution. The organizers were the Headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak, PARNAS, the Civil Initiative party, the Committee of Protest Actions, the December 5 party, the For Human Rights movement. Novaya Gazeta wrote that Open Russia had also applied.
