The Government of the Russian Federation approved the creation of TOSER in Linevo

The application of the Novosibirsk region was approved to create a territory of ahead of socio-economic development in the working village of the Linevo of the Iskitim district.

The application was submitted in November 2017 by the Government of the Novosibirsk Region as part of the implementation of the priority project “Integrated Development of Monogates”, developed on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The assignment of the status of the territory of ahead of socio-economic development to the a single-industry towns will give an impetus to the economic and social development of the village of Linevo, will help improve the investment attractiveness of the region, and will also allow the residents to receive preferential conditions for conducting entrepreneurial activities, the press service of the regional government said.

Linevo is 76 km from Novosibirsk, more than 18.5 thousand people live in the village. The city -forming enterprise is the Novosibirsk Electric Plant.

It was assumed that the Toser’s anchor project would be a Russian-Italian shoe cluster, but later information appeared that the Italians did not confirm their participation.

The project “Integrated Development of Mono City Councils” provides for the creation of territories of ahead of socio-economic development in 100 single-industry towns. For all single -industry towns, development programs will have to be developed, including measures to diversify the economy, improve the urban environment, and the development of human capital.
