On Thursday, November 30, at least 30 people were detained in the Serpukhov district. They blocked the route, opposing the extension of the work of the Lesnoy garbage training ground. This was reported on the website of the Activatica project.
Activists tried to block the road to cars that brought garbage to the training ground. One of the protesters anonymously commented on the event:
The actions of the police are pleading. At first, law enforcement officers tried to push the inhabitants, explaining that they interfere with road work. Although in fact they tried to push us to launch a garbage truck to the landfill. No road work was carried out at this moment. And after that, those residents who began to demand checking the drivers of overhead and travel sheets in order to understand where the garbage was taken from, they began to be detained and taken to the department. At least 30 people were detained!
The head of the administration of the Serpukhov municipal district, Alexander Shestun, supported the protesters. On his Facebook page, he wrote that "the police defended the owners of the garbage business and made harsh and unreasonable detention of people, intimidated them, tried to accuse them of non -existent offenses."
