"The constitution needs to be protected from power"

The Moscow authorities refused to hold the march and the rally "in defense of the Constitution" in the city center on December 10. The city hall offered to hold an action in the Maryino area on the outskirts of the capital. The Parnassus party, which is one of the organizers of the rally, called the Moscow authorities a decision "politically motivated." The organizers of the march are confident in the illegality of such actions by the authorities and intend to appeal the decision on the ECHR. The city hall suggested authorizing the action at least in the format of the rally. The march on the march and the rally "In Defense of the Constitution" was submitted on November 27. The action is dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the Basic Law of Russia, which is celebrated on December 12. The organizers of the rally are Parnas, the pre -election headquarters of Ksenia Sobchak, the Civil Initiative Party, Open Russia, the Committee of Protest Actions, the Party "December 5" and the Movement for Human Rights.
