The General Director of the Novosibirsk Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Vladimir Kekhman resigned, taking the post of artistic director Novat. This was reported by TASS with reference to the deputy general director of the marketing theater Artem Pukhalsky.
"From today, Vladimir Abramovich (Kekhman) has indeed become the artistic director of the theater, the duties of the director are now performed by Snezhan Lubar, Vyacheslav Starodubtsev remains the main director of the theater, but it is possible that additional decisions of the Minister of Culture will be adopted by the end of the day," said Pukhalsky.
Meanwhile, the head of the Ministry of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, who participated in the opening of the new concert hall of the theater, said that Lyubar would remain the acting general director at least until June. “We are very responsible for personnel decisions,” the minister said. “This is a common practice within the framework of the Ministry of Culture. So I wish Snezhan success, work. At least we should talk about the season, take stock, and we will see, our season ends in June.”
On June 28, it became known that Kekhman took maternity leave to care for the child. The acting general director Novat was appointed Lyubar, who since the beginning of the year was the deputy Kekhman. Prior to that, she worked as a regional personnel manager of the Baltika brewer.
In July, Medinsky said that after the vacation, Kekhman would leave the post of general director Novat. “This is due to the bankruptcy court of bankruptcy against him. I had a long conversation with Kekhman on this subject,” the minister said. Medinsky explained that Kekhman decided to resign in order to "do not undermine the image of the Ministry of Culture."
At the same time, Medinsky assured that the department was satisfied with Kekhman's work. According to him, during his work the director of the theater, the income of the institution grew by almost a half times. Under Kekhman, a large -scale reconstruction was carried out in the theater, which caused an ambiguous reaction of the public and professional architects. The State Guide Office of Cultural Heritage of the Novosibirsk Region revealed violations during the repair, Kekhman was twice fined for inconsistent repair of the building.
In 2015, Kekhman, a former general director of the JFC group of companies, and former top managers of the group Andrei Afanasyev and Julia Zakharova became defendants in the fraud case. JFC leaders were accused of embezzlement of 20.2 billion rubles , which a group of companies received in 2010-2011 as eight loans from Raiffeisenbank, Uralsib Bank, Sberbank of Russia, Moscow Bank, Promsvyazbank and a number of other credit institutions.
On November 28, it became known that the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stopped the criminal prosecution of Kekhman, Afanasyev and Zakharova. On November 14, the cases against them under Part 4 of Article 159.1 (fraud in the field of lending committed by an organized group on an especially large scale) and part 4 of Article 174.1 (washing the funds received by a criminal way organized by a group or on an especially large scale) were terminated for the lack of a crime. A new case was opened under part 1 of Article 176 of the Criminal Code (illegal receipt of a loan; up to five years of colony). This case was also terminated after the statute of limitations, which is five years for moderate crimes: according to investigators, the last illegal loan JFC received in 2011.
The decision to stop the persecution of JFC managers is checked by the Prosecutor General. Earlier, representatives of victims of banks complained to the supervisory authority about the inaction of the investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As noted, if the Prosecutor General’s Office agrees with the closure of the case, the creditors can only require compensation for their losses in civil proceedings. At the same time, the JFC went bankrupt in 2015, and Kekhman himself was declared bankrupt in 2012 in the UK, and in 2016 in Russia.
On March 29, 2015, Medinsky dismissed the previous general director of the theater Boris Mezdrich after the scandal with the setting of the opera Tangeyer. Kekhman, appointed in his place, excluded her from the repertoire.
The opera was delivered in December 2014. The action in it is transferred today. In the version of the director of the director of Timofei Kulyabin, Jesus Christ became the hero of the erotic film, which is shot by the director Tangaizer. After the complaint of Metropolitan Tikhon, who stated that the production insults the feelings of believers, the prosecutor’s office aroused administrative affairs in relation to Kulyabin and Mazhrich under the article "Intentional public desecration of religious or litigation, religious veneration, signs or emblem of worldview symbolism and paraphernalia." At the same time, the metropolitan himself did not look at the performance, and gave the assessment of the production from the words of the audience.
On March 10, 2015, the justice of the Central District of Novosibirsk, Ekaterina Sorokina, did not find an offense in the production of the opera Tangaiser . Things were terminated.
