On December 4, during the debate at the trial of the ex-Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukaev, the accused asked the court to acquit him and send materials to the Investigative Committee for verification in relation to the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin on the grounds of a deliberately false slander and in relation to operational employees on signs of bribe provocation. It is reported by Mediazona .
According to Ulyukaev, the transfer of money to him was a provocation organized by Sechin.
“If a provocation is carried out, then there must be a motive,” the state prosecutor said quite rightly. According to the order of the government of the Russian Federation, which was signed shortly before my arrest, investors had to pay 710 billion rubles for the shares. But (after the arrest. - NT) a different decision was made, apparently, they managed to mislead the government and it was decided that 692 billion rubles would be paid for a package of 19.5% of the shares of PJSC Rosneft, ”explained the ex- minister.
According to him, the idea of provocation was formed by "intruders" in mid-October.
“The provocateurs had to hurry very much, they had the last opportunity to cut off the possibility of an objective report to the president on this deal,” Ulyukaev said.
On December 4, the prosecution announced that it considered the former minister's guilt in receiving a $2 million bribe from the head of Rosneft to be fully proven. Prosecutor Boris Neporozhny, during the debate , requested from the court for Ulyukaev 10 years in prison with a sentence to be served in a strict regime colony. Ulyukaev's defense insists on his innocence.
The trial will continue on December 7th.
