Amur Region: The builder of the cosmodrome was wasting almost a billion rubles

Two criminal cases were brought against one of the subcontractors of the construction of the East Cosmodrome after checking the military prosecutor's office.

The general director of the company Mechanization of Construction, according to investigators, deliberately submitted fake bank guarantees to the state -owned enterprise of special construction, in order to receive an advance on five contracts for the construction of space facilities. The general contractor issued the company about 800 million rubles with an advance, but the subcontractor did not fulfill his obligations, spent a large part of the money.

In relation to the general director of the "Construction Management Management", criminal cases for embezzlement and the use of a deliberately false document were opened.

In the spring, during inspections at the Vostochny cosmodrome, more than seven thousand systemic violations in the work of Spetsstroy and enterprises subordinate to it were revealed. 499 officials were held accountable, more than 400 decisions were issued to initiate cases. As a result, the status of the general contractor in the construction of the Cosmodrome was received by the company "Special Straittehnology". Before that, Roskosmos terminated contracts with another general contractor at the Cosmodrome - the Dalspetsstroy State Commerce.
