The illegal delivery of four Siemens turbines to Crimea became known in the first half of July. According to the contract, the equipment was delivered for a power plant under construction in Taman, Krasnodar Territory. However, in reality, two turbines were brought to Sevastopol, and the other two to Feodosia. At the same time, Technopromesport for several preceding months repeatedly confirmed in writing that the equipment would not get to the Crimea.

On August 4, the European Union imposed sanctions in connection with the supply of turbines to Crimea.
