
In Kyiv, employees of the Prosecutor General and Security Service of Ukraine detained the leader of the Party of New Forces, ex-governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili during a search in his apartment. After the start of the search, Saakashvili went up to the roof of the house and turned to the assembled journalists and his supporters. According to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Saakashvili was detained as part of the case under Part 1 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assistance to participants in criminal organizations). The content of the charges is not disclosed.
