The IC of the Russian Federation is investigating the purchase of a special equipment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at a price overstated by 80 million rubles

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia purchased forensic equipment at a price overweight by more than 80 million rubles, the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports.

The equipment was intended for regional expert divisions. A criminal case has been instituted on three episodes of theft of budgetary funds on an especially large scale (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The investigators were suspected by the head of the forensic center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Petr Grishin and his deputy Oleg Mazur. According to investigators, they ensured the conclusion of state contracts at an inflated value with their familiar companies controlled by their familiar companies.

Investigative actions are being underway in interaction with the FSB of Russia and the HUSB of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Searches are held in the office cabinets of Grishin and Mazur, as well as at their places of residence, notes Interfax with reference to the official representative of the RF IC Irina Volk. Grishin has already filed a dismissal report.

It should be noted that in August, the Corruption Fund (FBK) of the opposition Alexei Navalny discovered a cartel conspiracy at the trading of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for almost 5 billion rubles with the participation of five companies - suppliers of automotive equipment. According to the FBK investigation, the supply of cars of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was carried out at high prices with an overpayment of about 240 million rubles.

And in June, the auditors of the Accounts Chamber, following the audit of the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2016, revealed violations for the total amount of over 6.82 billion rubles. The main violation was the purchase of information systems, software and communication infrastructure.
