
The lawyer of the former head of the Office of the Anti-Corruption head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, “Colonel-millionaire” Dmitry Zakharchenko , who is accused of receiving bribes and abuse of authority, appealed the decision to apply to the state of the property of his client for a total of almost 9 billion rubles, Interfax reports, citing the defender himself.
“We consider the decision made illegal and unreasonable and ask for the appeal instance to cancel it and refuse to satisfy the requirements of the Prosecutor General’s Office,” said Alexander Gorbatenko, lawyer Zakharchenko on December 5.
On December 1, the Nikulinsky court turned the property of the Zakharchenko family to the state’s income, among the seized were 14 vehicles and 13 apartments in the elite regions of Moscow, four expensive cars registered in close relatives of Zakharchenko and other persons, funds in rubles and foreign currency worth about 8 billion rubles, as well as a gold bar.
As follows from the court’s decision, the real estate and vehicles to be applied to the state’s income will be transferred to the capital’s department of the Federal Property Management Agency, and almost 8 billion rubles in various currency - to the metropolitan administration of the Federal Treasury for “their distribution between the budgets of the budget system of the Russian Federation in accordance with the budget legislation of the Russian Federation”. It is planned to be transferred to the Golden Eat in the Government of Russia.
Zakharchenko is accused of receiving bribes, abuse of authority and obstruction of justice. He is in custody since September 10, 2016.
In addition to Zakharchenko, the defendants in the lawsuit were his father and mother, sister Irina Razgonova, civil wife Anastasia Pestrikova, a relative of the last Lilia Gorshkova, the ex -wife of Yana Saratovtseva and her mother, as well as the former civil wives, Maria Semynina and Irina Petrushina.
