The Khakass Communists announced the coordination of a rally against the head of the region Viktor Zimin, which they declared on December 16. It is expected that up to a thousand people will take part in the protest. The last straw for opponents of the governor was his straight line, where he showed himself as "a person who does not correspond to his position."

The Communists reported the decision in their public in VKontakte, posting a document signed by the mayor of Abakan Nikolai Bulakin.

According to the second secretary of the Khakass regulation of the party Valentin Konovalov, the Communists have been raising the question of resignation since 2015. And in 2016, they collected more than 15 thousand signatures for Zimin's resignation.

Among the problems of the republic, Konovalov called the delays of salaries to state employees, benefits, interruptions in the receipt of preferential drugs. “Here are even these corruption scandals, where a group of people stole on preferential medicines that people have not received for months and still in some cases they could not get,” the source added.

Environmental problems, also relevant for Khakassia as a mining region, are closely related to the economy. “Those coal cuts that we have opened and which exist, especially new types of Arshanovsky, Maykhi and so on, they receive superprofits, violate environmental norms (repeatedly established, the prosecutor’s office was versed in, law enforcement agencies others). And at the same time, deductions to the republican budget are crumbs from their profit, ”continued Konovalov. “We understand that this is with the permission of the chapter, at least from silence, the owners of these cuts from Khakassia are the latter sucking the latter, and after them, except for burning pits, nothing will remain.”

Victor Zimin was born in 1962, graduated from the Abakan agricultural college and Tomsk State Architectural and Construction University.
