Rosobrnadzor refused to issue an EUSPB license

The Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) refused the European University in St. Petersburg (EUSPB) to issue a license to carry out educational activities.

The corresponding order signed by the head of Rosobrnadzor, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Sergey Kravtsov today, December 6, is posted on the service website .

As the basis for refusal in the document, an act of documentary verification of the EUSPB dated November 20, 2017, which established the discrepancy between the university licensed requirements is indicated. The order refers to “the absence of an current conclusion on the conformity of the protection object for mandatory fire safety requirements” and the provision of inaccurate information to the university.

The EUSPB website published a message about receiving a notice of refusal to issue an educational license. The university reports that "he received a warning and order on the re -equipment of five server cabinets until December 29, 2017, ... submitted the order ahead of schedule and on December 5, 2017 sent a notification to the Ministry of Emergencies."

“The second reason is the allegedly“ established fact of providing false information ” - is not disclosed in the order of Rosobrnadzor and is not confirmed by anything,” the EUSPB said. “The university has no opportunity to say anything about this until Rosobrnadzor explains which information presented by the university considers it unreliable.”

The leadership of the EUSPB decided to issue a new educational license after the court approvedthe cancellation of the former in July. In early August, EUSPB finally lost his rights to the main building - a small marble palace in the center of St. Petersburg.

EUSPB submitted documents twice to receive a new license. At the end of September, the audit of the building, which should move to Rosobrnadzor, revealed a number of violations, without which the university will not be able to get a new educational license. As a result, the university was refused to issue a license.

On October 3, at a meeting of employees and former university students, his rector Nikolai Vakhtin announced that the university will exist in the form of a research institute with an educational expert agenda for the duration of an educational license. On October 17, the university submitted a new set of documents.
