At Sheremetyevo the plane skidded off the runway

In Moscow, at Sheremetyevo airport, a plane of the Latvian airline AirBaltic rolled off the runway, reported RIA Novosti and TASS , citing sources.

The TASS source clarifies that only one runway will operate for two hours, and the number of takeoff and landing operations will also be reduced.

airline AirBaltic commented on the incident on its Twitter and apologized to passengers for what happened. The carrier blamed the incident on strong winds and a slippery taxiway. The report said all passengers were removed from the plane and taken to the airport.

One of the passengers on the flight posted a video on his Instagram page taken from inside the plane as it skidded off the runway.
