In December, the film “All the Money of the World”, shot by Ridley Scott based on the book of John Parson, was released in the American rental. It is based on real history - the abduction of John Paul Getty, the grandson of the oil magnate, the richest man in the middle of the 20th century. Even before the release, the film attracted increased attention. The performer of one of the main roles of Kevin Spacey, who was in the center of the scandal due to harassment, was removed from the filming. His place was taken by Christopher Platmer. In Russia, “All the Money of the World” will be shown in February.

The story is known primarily because of Getty Sr.-a billionaire who refused to pay a ransom for his grandson. The kidnappers associated with the mafia, he stated that he would not give "neither Penny." Only after his grandson was cut off, he agreed to pay - although he tried to benefit from this.

This is only one of the dramatic episodes associated with the dynasty, which was considered one of the richest in the world. One son of a billionaire committed suicide, the other became addicted to drugs, his wife died of an overdose. The grandson grew unattended, after his father became addicted to drugs, eventually became a target for the mafia. When he turned out to be hostage, the family spent months on bothering.

The founder of the dynasty himself justified the neglect of the family with his financial successes, stating that he "put the business in first place and did not spare about it." Although the misfortunes of the representatives of the dynasty, which the press wrote about as a “family curse”, gave enough reason for regrets.
