Mikhail Saakashvili was detained on the second attempt. He is in the SBU isolator

Like the last time, the press learned about the arrest of Mikhail Saakashvili not from the lawyers of the latter, but from the former deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine David Sakvarelidze, who on Friday, at 22.21 in Kyiv, posted a corresponding message on Facebook.

Half an hour later, the information prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko confirmed the information. “Everything has been done to avoid extreme power actions and blood,” he emphasized, and added that, according to the law, the court will choose a preventive measure within 72 hours. Previously, the Prosecutor General’s office was going to ask for round -the -clock house arrest and wearing an electronic bracelet.

For Saakashvili, announced on December 5, on the day of escape, the wanted list, the police established an observation, which confirmed: in the tent town under his radio, despite the assurances of his associates and the press service, there are at least a day. According to unofficial data, he felt bad - stress and hypothermia affected after a resonant and unsuccessful attempt to detain for security officials.

He was not in the Kiev hotel, about the seizure of the room in which, where one of the committees of the Rada is located, Lutsenko said (another criminal article was added for this daring action). He freed the number a few hours later, when he washed and rested a little.

The next day, Mikhail spoke on Skype in front of the audience of Cato Institute in Washington, where he repeated his theses again. The large -scale march of protest for impeachment to President Poroshenko, against oligarchs and corruption, was announced in Kyiv on Sunday on December 10.

As the “new”, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, unlike the SBU, suggested. Also - without publicity, without resistance and television cameras - Saakashvili was taken to a security insulator.

Politics was taken in the Solomensky district of the capital, on Otradnoye Street, in an apartment belonging, as emphasized, familiar to Mikhail. It quickly became known that the landlord is a certain Yuri Otinboroda, the ex-head of the police in the Luhansk region, now an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of retirement. Ridinboroda already wrote on Facebook that he was afraid for his own life:

“Now there is a question about my honor. I was not arrested ( *together with Saakashvili. - *O. M. ) because they want to substitute and make it guilty. Knowing me that I will look for a traitor, they can eliminate. I would better feel in a pre -trial detention center now. ”

One of the first situations was commented by Zoryan Shkiryak, an adviser to the Minister of the Interior. He immediately asked "to reduce the degree of emotions in the news." And he emphasized that the detainee is “just apatride, who will have to answer by law.” Shkiryak negatively answered journalists' questions about plans to dismantle the town under the Rada, left without a leader: "No one is going to disperse them." Indeed, the National Guard was no longer around the perimeter, only the protection of the Rada was strengthened.

But after 23 hours, the security of the SBU department and especially the Speculator in Askoldov Lane, over which the trucks were put, increased significantly, since Saakashvili supporters began to arrive. The lane is still at Kostelnaya Street, where the first attempt to detain took place. To take out a person from here to court so that no one pays attention and does not prevent, unrealistic.

Until one in the morning, no skirmishes between the parties were observed, although people blocked the street from the Arsenalnaya metro to the Salyut Hotel. They expected the lawyers of Mikhail, who were passed into the regime object. After three in the morning, lawyers who took part in investigative actions talked with the press. It became known: the politician announces an indefinite hunger strike and intends to resist attempts at forced feeding, and if the court decides to arrest for 60 days, the hunger strike will turn into dry.

Lawyer Ruslan Chernolutsky showed a note by Mikhail Saakashvili, an appeal to his associates, where he calls all the accusations of the authorities against himself false. “They want to intimidate you. Do not be afraid of anything, boldly go to the peaceful Sunday campaign "For impeachment!" - wrote a politician.

Lawyers believe that in the process of detaining their client, gross violations are recorded. In particular, the detention protocol was not provided, it was drawn up only in the insulator, later the court ruling on the detention appeared. Several times during the investigative actions, Saakashvili needed medical care due to increased pressure.

In addition, the politician, according to his lawyers, called on human rights activists and the international community to pay attention to what was happening in Ukraine. “They are persecuted by the ex-president of Georgia, an authoritative geopolitical figure that has not committed a single criminal offense for its life and there was not a single sentence throughout the history of his political activity,” Ruslan Chernolutsky explained the position. It is already known that Mikhail Saakashvili asked his wife, Sandra Rolofs, the main speaker at the upcoming court.

Lawyers confirmed: there really was no use of force during the detention. Mikhail was treated normally by police officers - executors of the operation, and the Esbanniki in the isolator.

At night, in the commentary of the Gromadsky, the ex-head of the National Police of Ukraine, Khatia Dekanoidze, who is now living in Tbilisi, called the accusations against Saakashvili “funny”. “All this connection with Kurchenko ... We see what is happening with NABU, with the anti -corruption committee. And it hurts me very much, ”Khatia concluded.

Experts say: an option with the deportation of Apatrides to Georgia is now impossible. Over the past few days, law enforcement officers have initiated cases against Mikhail related to national security and cooperation with representatives of the Yanukovych regime.

As of Saturday morning, about fifty Saakashvili supporters are on duty near the SBU isolator. They brought barrels for breeding bonfires and tires. The tent was not allowed to install. The situation is calm. The court may take place on Monday.
