Ministry of Internal Affairs officers visited Kuban activists

Kuban activist Daria Polyudova, who served time on charges of calling for separatism and extremism, told OVD-Info that police came to see her and another activist.

According to Polyudova, today she was visited at her parents’ house by two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - detective Nikolai Dankevich and his partner. They asked the activist to sign a warning that if she “carries out any uncoordinated events” on Constitution Day, December 12, then she was warned of violating the “Federal Law on Extremist Activities.”

In addition, Polyudova said that an employee of Center “E” came to see Raisa Pogodaeva, a supporter of Vyacheslav Maltsev from Goryachy Klyuch. He threatened Pogodaeva with arrest because she wrote on her social networks about her arrest for reposting the video. The activist was forced to sign a document stating that she would delete the recording.

• Previously, Pogodaeva was arrested for ten days because of a post with a video by video blogger Leonid Kudinov, in which he calls for participation in the October 7 rallies in support of Navalny.
• Daria Polyudova was repeatedly detained and arrested at public events in Novorossiysk. On December 21, 2015, Polyudova was sentenced to two years in prison in a penal settlement for publications on the social network VKontakte, which were regarded as calls for extremism and separatism. On October 20, 2017, the activist was released from prison.
