Russia is not going to start a new arms race, the United States is violated by key agreements on this, Vladimir Putin complained at his press conference. So he answered a really fundamental question about the Erosion of the foundation of international relations - a system of contracts for monitoring weapons.

Putin, as usual, resolutely denied that Moscow violated at least some agreements, and fell on the Americans. They de left the software agreement and now arranged an information attack on Russia to destroy the agreement on medium and smaller missiles (RSMD) and even withdraw from the START agreement.

To begin with, the head of the Russian state “forgot” about the contract on ordinary armed forces in Europe (DOVS), from which Russia was unilaterally released. It was the deliverance from the restrictions on Dovsa that allowed her to concentrate troops on the Ukrainian border for the “hybrid war” a few years later.

It is impossible not to recall the Budapest memorandum (1994), having signed which Moscow guaranteed the territorial integrity of Ukraine in exchange for its voluntary refusal to possess nuclear weapons. So, if someone recalls the parables that you can’t refuse weapons to ensure their own safety, this is just Ukrainians.

In this regard, it is very significant that, speaking at a press conference on the North Korean crisis, Vladimir Putin actually accused the United States of having acquired nuclear weapons. In his interpretation, Pyongyang was ready to fulfill the agreement on the rejection of the nuclear program, but in 2005 Washington made additional requirements, and the DPRK left the agreement. At the same time, the Russian president completely forgot how he recently said: Kim Jong Ir, the father of the current DPRK leader, told him that he has owned nuclear weapons since 2001. Therefore, all the negotiations that Pyongyang were led by an attempt to win the time to prepare a nuclear test.

It seems that the Kremlin today uses the tactics of North Korean leaders. At the official level, he strongly denies any reproaches for violation of contracts, at the same time provoking partners to abandon them. For example, during a press conference, the president once again stated that the Americans actually left the RSMD agreement by placing a missile defense system in Romania in Romania, in which, if desired, you can deploy Tomagavka winged with nuclear warheads. At the same time, the arguments of the Americans are left without attention that the “tomahawks” have never been tested in this way, and, therefore, no one will dare to use them.

Neither Putin, nor the question, journalist Sergei Brilev, began to attract attention to the fact that recently the American administration also expressed claims to Russia in violation of the RSMD. Moreover, these claims were specified: speaking in the center of Woodlon Wilson, an employee of the US National Security Council, Christopher Ford, said that the RSMD rocket is the product “Novator9M729”, which in NATO has a high-range missile SSC-8. According to some publications, the 9M729 missile is located on the launching installation of the Iskander tactical missile. As far as you can understand, we are talking about a ground version of the caliber sea cruise missiles, which so remarkably launch our submarines and surface ships towards Syria. According to the American seal, Donald Trump has already approved new sanctions as a punishment for violation of the RSMD agreement, which really breathes in the incense.

The problem is that American lawmakers directly connected the continuation of the RSMD agreement with the main Russian-American agreement on disarmament-the START-3 agreement. Its duration expires already in 2021, and the parties do not negotiate any negotiations. As a result, before our eyes, the entire mode of control over weapons, which was created for almost half a century, is eliminated.
