In the Stavropol region, the Investigative Committee has completed an investigation into the case against a judge of the Leninsky District Court of the city of Stavropol, accused of attempted fraud (part 3 of article 30, part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code), according to the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, in the spring of 2015, the man told his friend that he wanted to get a job as a judge. The woman said that she knows a judge who may ask how to properly submit documents for employment to the judiciary.
In July, the woman met with her friend and the judge told her untrue information that she could get a man a job as a federal judge for 12 million rubles. After this, the man contacted the regional FSB department.
An acquaintance of the man met with the judge as part of a special operation and handed her a paper bag containing 10 thousand rubles and dummy money in the amount of 9 million 990 thousand rubles. Immediately after receiving the money, security forces detained the judge.
