An Artdocfest spectator was arrested for seven days for disobedience to the police. He says he argued with SERB activists

The Presnensky Court of Moscow arrested Vitaly Leontyev for seven days, who was detained at the Oktyabr cinema on December 10 along with SERB activists who disrupted the screening of the film Flight of the Bullet. This was reported by OVD-Info.

Leontyev, like three SERB activists earlier, was found guilty of disobedience to the police.

As OVD-Info writes from Leontyev’s own words, when SERB activists began to insult the audience during the show, he “did not tolerate such antics and entered into polemics with them.” The police arrived and detained him along with those who disrupted the show.

Police officers wrote in the report that Leontyev was among those who tried to disrupt the show and resisted arrest. The man claims that this is not so. According to the president of Artdocfest, Vitaly Mansky, the court did not accept for consideration the video recordings submitted by the festival organizers that testify to Leontyev’s innocence.

The police also did not begin to understand the conflict between the detainees: they wrote in the protocol that Leontyev, like others dissatisfied with the screening of the film, tried to disrupt the film screening and shouted “Glory to Ukraine!”

As a result, the show was cancelled.
