In Astrakhan, a fine for a non-existent poster was upheld

The Astrakhan Regional Court upheld the fine for a local resident Alexei Tyurin for a non-existent poster, reports Kavkazsky Knot . Tyurin plans to appeal this decision. On November 30, the activist was found guilty under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses and fined 5,000 rubles.

Tyurin was accused of violating the procedure for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) after participating in an event on October 30, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions.

On November 30, the Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan fined Tyurin 5,000 rubles.

The court made this decision based on the testimony of the security forces, which said that the activists came to the event with a poster "We demand an end to political terror." However, there are videos and photographs that show that in fact two activists were standing next to two separate posters - "We demand to stop" and "Politterror".

In addition, according to the activist, the court incorrectly attributed the event that took place on October 30 to those specified in the Federal Law No. 54 of June 19, 2014 “On meetings, rallies, marches and pickets”.
