A court in Murmansk fined two volunteers of Navalny's headquarters 20 thousand rubles each

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk fined two volunteers of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in connection with the October 7 rally in support of the politician. This was reported to OVD-Info by Violetta Grudina, coordinator of the headquarters.

Judge Irina Makarova found the activists guilty of organizing an uncoordinated rally (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and imposed a fine of 20,000 rubles each.

On the day of the rally, October 7, the police detained Grudin and two volunteers at the headquarters, who were holding bunches of balloons. “They blocked the exits, they were gathered together, photographed and passed off as a public event,” the coordinator said.

The police officer took the balloons from one of the volunteers and released them into the sky. After that, Grudina wrote a statement to the police about material damage. Recently, she received an answer that no violations were found in the actions of the policeman.

On October 7, a rally of Navalny's supporters took place in dozens of Russian cities. They demanded that the politician be allowed to participate in the presidential elections in Russia.
