Thirty Transbaikal truckers today began a protest against the Plato system and the increase in gas prices. Four of them are now in two cars at the highway. The remaining participants in the strike are in garages, since frosts in Transbaikalia do not allow the long -term action in the open air.
The main requirement of protesting drivers remains the same - the complete cancellation of the Plato system in Russia. In addition, the truckers of Transbaikalia are trying to achieve compliance with the regime of labor and rest, as well as creating normal conditions for the work of intercity drivers - equipment for parking lots and overnight and restraining a sharp increase in fuel prices. The Transbaikalians intend to continue until December 25. Protesters are sure that in 10 days even more drivers will join them, the “Zab.ru” portal reports .
Dissatisfied truckers several months ago announced on December 15 the All -Russian protest against the Plato system. In early November, the coordinator of the "Association of Carriers of Russia", recently recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent , Nigamatullin confirmed that the drivers of Yekaterinburg will draw a strike from December 15 to 25.
On December 12, under St. Petersburg, the traffic police stopped Andrei Bazhutin and Sergey Vladimirov, representing the "Association of Russian Carriers" in the Leningrad Region, for driving without rights. They face up to 30 days of arrest. Activists are sure that they were detained due to the all-Russian protest.
