The Austrian People's Party and the Austrian Party of Freedom formed a coalition government. This was stated by the leaders of the movements of Sebastian Kurtz and Hinz-Cristian Straha.
If the coalition is ratified, then Austria will become the first country of Europe with the government, which are represented by representatives of the ultra -right. Earlier, President Alexander Van Der Bellen invited the leaders of both parties to coordinate the formation of a government coalition on December 16.
Elections to the Austrian parliament were held on October 20. The Conservative Austrian People's Party received 31 percent of the vote. The Social Democratic Party follows it-it was supported by almost 27 percent of voters. 26 percent of the vote was received by the Freedom Party.
Kurtz will become the youngest chancellor in Europe - politics is only 31 years old. Earlier, the leader of the conservatives promised to pursue a pro -European policy in Austria.
