At the same time, the head of state complained that after the defeat of terrorists, the world community will have to communicate with the Syrian leader Bashar Assad.

"Bashar Assad is the enemy of the Syrian people, my enemy is IG*. Bashar Assad will remain there, including because he is protected by those who also defeated the terrain - be it Iran or Russia. So we cannot say that we do not want to talk with him or his representatives," Macron quoted TASS.

Note that Russia has already announced the victory over IG* in Syria.
