"Presidential candidates will fight for the formation of the government"

The Russian politician and economist Oksana Dmitrieva, ex-Minister of Labor and Social Development, commented on the Taiga.info on December 18, the presidential campaign, saying that its main content should be a discussion of the socio-economic course, and the “Balagan” is beneficial to the current team of the Kremlin, the composition of which depends on the results of the elections.

Taiga.info: You were seen as one of the possible presidential candidates from the growth party. The probability of your nomination still exists? And if so, what result would you like to achieve?

- No, that's it, there is no probability. The decision has been made. The Political Council of the Growth Party put forward the candidacy of Boris Titov (the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs in the Russian Federation - approx. Taigi.info) . In this situation, of course, the more votes our candidate receives, the more votes the program will receive. And our program is an alternative to Kudrinskaya (ex-Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexei Kudrin-approx. Taigi.info) . So we regard it. Of course, we want us to have more votes.

Taiga.info: In this election, everything has already been decided after the nomination of Vladimir Putin? Or can you do something else to cheer up the election campaign?

-I am not inclined to encourage the campaign, but still you need to express my position. One way or another, there are still candidates. I don’t know now who will be from the Communist Party. If it is Grudinin (the director of the Lenin State Farm near Moscow Pavel Grudinin - approx. Taigi.info) , then he is a competent person, a representative of the real economy, therefore, I think, he will have something to say, and he will be able to offer an alternative agenda. Titov, of course, has a program of the Stolypin Club, and this is alternative to the policy that is now being pursued. I believe that there should be a real discussion precisely about the socio-economic course of the country. There is also Grigory Yavlinsky, so there will be candidates who are ready to support this discussion.

Taiga.info: That is, the campaign “Against all” that Ksenia Sobchak is trying to conduct with his nomination, is not close to you?

- Well, I do not want to talk about the booth. Those who pursue the current socio-economic policy of the Kremlin and the government, they are just not interested in a substantial agenda. They just participate, anyone, anyone. Balagan, everyone has fun, and there is no conversation on the merits.

In 2005, when trying to endure mistrust to the government in the State Duma, you compared officials with a brigade of doctors who "make one medical mistake after another," and said that our government is "not those horses that cannot be changed at the crossing." -I believe that just the struggle between the candidates and to put forward someone and not to nominate someone-this is, in fact, the struggle for influence on the government. So we must consider this election campaign. This is not to say that it is absolutely empty. Depending on how and how much each of the candidates will receive, this will influence the formation of the government. Yes, this is a subject [conversation]. And the booth does not affect the government. So look who is beneficial.

Oksana Dmitrieva is the head of the growth party faction in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. Doctor of Economics, State Duma deputy of the Russian Federation I - VI convocations, in 1998 - Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Russian Federation in the government of Sergei Kiriyenko. In 2014, Dmitrieva entered the election campaign for the Governor of St. Petersburg, but did not pass the municipal filter. In 2016, she advocated the resignation of the financial and economic bloc of the federal government.

On December 18, the presidential election campaign officially started. The corresponding resolution of the Federation Council was published in the Russian Newspaper. Candidates from parties and self -nominates can start submitting documents to the CEC. Voting is scheduled for March 18, 2018. Almost 17.7 billion rubles will be allocated from the budget.
