The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk released the STOP GOK movement activist from punishment for violating the procedure for holding a public event (Part 1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The police drew up a protocol against Irina Gladysheva for posts on VKontakte. According to the police, the activist “conducted preliminary campaigning among citizens without the consent of the executive authority of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, informing citizens on a social network ... information about the place, time, and purposes of holding a public event.”
The court decided that Gladysheva's offense was insignificant and freed her from liability.
