Street musicians detained and released in Moscow

Yesterday, the musicians of the WD group, Dmitry Danilov and Valery Levskiy, were detained at the Novogireevo metro station. Danilov told OVD-Info about this.

At first, WD played on the street near the Vykhino metro station. The musicians were approached by police officers and threatened with arrest. Then Danilov and Levskiy moved to the Shangal shopping center near the Novogireevo metro station, where they were eventually detained under the pretext that “it is forbidden to play”.

According to Danilov, they never found out the exact reason for the detention:

It all ended with the fact that they handed us our passports and said that we were free. In the department, we just waited, no one told us anything. We tried to ask the police something, but they only answered that everything was “as it should be.” We did not see any protocols.
