The UFO study program was conducted from 2007 to 2012, during which time it took $ 22 million. The Ministry of Defense never recognized its existence. The program began to finance at the request of Senator Harry Raid, who was sure that there were other forms of life in the universe. Most of the money was given by a long -standing friend of the raid - Robert Bigelou, founder of Bigelow Aerospace. Now he works with NASA.

Under the directive of Bigelow, his company modified some premises in Las Vegas for warehouses, where it would be possible to store metal alloys and other materials found. Researchers studied people who, according to them, came into contact with the “objects” and looked if they had any physiological changes. The team members also talked with pilots who saw strange flying objects.

Employees of the secret program studied video interceptions with American fighters of unidentified flying objects. On them, planes tried to keep up with objects, which, as a rule, were an oblong shape and could sharply change the direction of movement. So far, only two videos of “chases” of fighters behind objects have been published.

The first video dates back to 2004. Pilot David Fravor pursued an object “similar to“ tick so ”” off the coast of California. “It was real, it exists and I saw it,” he says 13 years later. The pilot believes that the object was "not from the ground." “Tick so” was the size of a fighter, he had no wings, he did not leave any traces on the water, like those that create a helicopter blades. He was not able to catch up with the object. The aircraft carrier, where he was deployed, did not take the story seriously: colleagues joked about "people in black." Freivor quit the army in 2006. Three years later, Luis Alisono contacted him, who worked in the very department, which recently became known.

Alisono left the program at the end of October: he quit in protest, explaining the reason "excessive secrecy and internal opposition." According to Politico , the reason for the departure was that he went to work in the Stars Academy of Arts & Science, which was founded by the former guitarist of the BLINK-182 group Tom Delong (the organization is also engaged in the search for extraterrestrial life). As Senator Raid explained, the military often did not talk about incidents, as they believed that they would laugh at them, and stories would not be taken seriously. “Personally, I believe that there is very convincing evidence that we can be not alone,” Alisono said on the air of CNN. According to him, the “planes” (so decided to call unidentified flying objects in the Pentagon) such characteristics that neither the USA nor any other country has. During the program, the program, according to him, managed to find abnormal flying objects that ignored the laws of aerodynamics. Alisono emphasized that the main goal of the UFO study was to find out if they could pose a threat to national security.
