Australian police broadcast a plan for the arrest of a North Korean agent before surgery in Periscope

The Korean, apparently, does not follow the social networks of the police-he was still arrested.

Australia police accidentally revealed the details of the preparatory arrest of the North Korean agent on the live Periscope. The law enforcement agencies began to look for the guilty ones whose actions almost violated the secrecy of the operation.

A few days before the arrest of the alleged DPRK agent, a link to PerisCope broadcast appeared on the police twitter. According to local publications, in the video, the police discussed for about two minutes the details of the lighting of the incident in the media, the estimated period of arrest and informing the Prime Minister.

About 40 users managed to look at the live broadcast before it was turned off. The Australian police began an internal investigation in order to identify officers who launched a broadcast. “We took steps so that this would no longer be repeated,” the press service of law enforcement agencies said.

The 59-year-old Korean Chan Han Han Chan was arrested on suspicion of selling coal and components for missiles on behalf of the DPRK. The police noted that they followed him since 2016 and consider him a "devoted North Korean agent." According to preliminary data, a man faces up to 18 years in prison.
