Theresa May's deputy has resigned from the UK government. Pornography was found on his work computer

British Deputy Prime Minister Damian Green resigned from the government in connection with the information that in 2008 pornography was found on his work computer.

The reason for the resignation was Green's claims that he did not know about the discovery of pornography on his computer. An audit found that these statements were "inaccurate and misleading".

The audit also found plausible journalist Kate Maltby's allegations of sexual harassment by Green.

Theresa May said she was saddened by Greene's resignation.

• Damian Green is one of British Prime Minister Theresa May's closest associates. In her government, he served as the first secretary of state (in fact, the deputy prime minister), as well as the head of the chancellery.
• Green denies both allegations that he watched pornography in the workplace and allegations of sexual harassment. The allegations against Green were first made in November 2017. Then, after the appearance of publications about Harvey Weinstein and other show business figures, similar accusations began to be made against British politicians.
• On November 1, British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon resigned due to the fact that his behavior did not meet British military requirements. According to reports, his dismissal was due to possible harassment on his part in relation to several journalists.
