An experiment with the participation of a dachshund nicknamed Nicholas occurred in the state fund of promising research, which has been working since 2013. The fund was created on the initiative and support of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. He is engaged, in particular, by the creation of a Fedor robot , self-governing vehicles for the Ministry of Defense and other departments, sea robots, and also holds drone-biathlon competitions.

During the visit of Rogozin and the President of Serbia, Alexander Vucich, to the promising research fund, they showed a fluid saturated with oxygen, which penetrates the lungs and allows you to breathe. To demonstrate its effectiveness, the fund’s employee took a dachshund and put it in the reservoir with the liquid. The animal resisted, but a man in a white robe loaded the dog into the liquid and kept it in the tank for several tens of seconds. The dog was trying to get out all this time.

In theory, liquid breathing can be used for deep -sea dives and when working in dangerous conditions.

The development of technology in the fund of promising research was reported back in 2016, but how far the fund managed to advance in its research is certainly unknown. In 2016, Deputy Director General of the Foundation Vitaly Davydov claimed that they managed to achieve dogs at a depth of 500 meters for half an hour in a capsule with oxygen-containing liquid.

The video with an experiment on the dachshund caused a sharply negative reaction on social networks: users argued that the animal was at risk for the sake of idle interest of Dmitry Rogozin and Alexander Vucic. The video turned out to be so popular that the rain TV channel on the morning of December 21 asked to comment on the experiment of the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. “Is the dog alive? Rogozin himself had to make excuses. He said that no one tormented the dog, she participated in the experiment, and emphasized that everything was in order with the animal. A source in the Rogozin apparatus told TASS that the Deputy Prime Minister allegedly, during a visit to the fund, asked him to give him the same dachshund. “I understand that such experiments are necessary, but humanly worried about the dog and immediately decided to take it to myself,” Rogozin wrote on Twitter.
