Igor Aidman: "Forward in the 37th?"

The sociologist gives on Facebook quotes from the recent speech of the head of the SVR Sergey Naryshkin and the speech of the prosecutor Andrei Vyshinsky, who sounded in 1938. The similarity of their statements causes serious concerns.

"At the forefront of efforts to turn emigrant structures into the so -called revolutionary cells, Great Britain, Poland, Sweden, and Baltic states are standing."

“In this“ case ”, the remnants of all anti -Soviet forces, groups and organizations were stuck, at least, as a judicial investigation was established, four foreign intelligence: Japanese, German, Polish and English and, of course, all other foreign intelligence, which maintain a friendly, as -called operational contact with these intelligence”.

The first quote from the recent performance of the head of the SVR Naryshkin, the second - from the prosecutor’s speech of Vyshinsky in the 1938 process. The gluing is almost not visible, both speak (or rather rave) in one Chekist language.

At the level of rhetoric in 80 years, nothing has changed. There is a threat that rhetoric, as often happened in history, will form a practice (more precisely, it will revive the non -confused old practice of spying and mass political terror). After all, since the Chekists talk about the saboteurs supported by abroad-revolutionaries, then they must find them, "neutralize" and present them to society. Otherwise what are they professionals? But there are simply no such "revolutionaries" in reality. So they need to be invented, sewing fake cases with imaginary political criminals. So always the Chekists acted.
