The Committee, one of the oldest environmental organizations in the country, was created in the 80s inhabitants of the Pechora villages. The oil industry is a constant subject of disputes with Lukoil, the main oil production operator in the region.

The only way to solve the problem that activists see is the total replacement of pipes over 20 years.
