The Kuntsevsky District Court sentenced Olga Nikitova, a supporter of the banned Volya party, to a year of suspended imprisonment for sending letters by e-mail. This was reported on Facebook Grads TV.

Nikitova was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 (inciting hatred or enmity against a social group) due to the fact that she sent the text of a banned party leaflet to several email addresses. Nikitova was put on probation for two years.

According to the investigators, the activist “acting with direct intent, in order to incite hatred and enmity against a group of persons - representatives of the Russian authorities, distributed by fan mailing an electronic link containing the text of the “Appeal to the Russian Army Servicemen”, which contains statements aimed at inciting hatred and enmity against representatives of the Russian authorities. “Appeal to the Russian army servicemen” was recognized as extremist material by the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg on July 9, 2015.

Nikitova herself assumed that her case appeared because the e-mail came to Lieutenant Colonel of the Russian Guard Irek Valitov.
