Apple was sued for slowing old iPhones

The man’s claim is that Apple decided to slow down outdated iPhones to save batteries, but did not ask the consent of her customers. According to Bogdanovich, the company uses this function to force users as possible to update smartphones every year. A man demands to stop slowing the work of iPhones and compensate him for money for the harm caused.

As noted in 9TO5MAC, in his lawsuit Bogdanovich slightly distorts the initial words of the representative of Apple, while the statement does not mention the technical side of the issue and there is no information about the natural process of wear of lithium-ion batteries.

Another statement on Apple was filed by five states of Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and North Carolina, who own the company's smartphones from the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 7. It is group, and other customers of the company may join it. The plaintiffs said that Apple behaves “immoral, unethical and deceptive” and violates the laws on the protection of consumer rights. They also demanded compensation for damage, but did not indicate a specific amount.
