Ksenia Sobchak wrote an open letter to the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko. The appeal was published on her campaign website.
Sobchak believes that officials do not allow her headquarters to hold actions in St. Petersburg for “absolutely far-fetched reasons.” According to her, she received negative answers from the leadership of the Central, Admiralteysky, Petrogradsky and Vasileostrovsky districts.
— The purpose of holding public events for me and my team is to inform residents about my desire to run for president and notify residents about the upcoming elections as such. Both of these goals do not contradict the current legislation, and the refusals of officials violate a number of laws at once, including the main law of the country - the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
Sobchak asks Poltavchenko to allow her and her team to “speak out on the streets of their hometown.”
