Its founder will go from the monarchical party to the election of the President of the Russian Federation

A candidate for president of Russia from the monarchical party was its founder - businessman Anton Bakov. According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, delegates of all 45 representatives of the party voted for its nomination.

For several years, Bakov was a deputy of the State Duma, and also participated in the elections of the mayor of Yekaterinburg and the governor of the Sverdlovsk region. In 2011, the businessman proclaimed the so -called "Romanov Empire", which he declared the only successor of the state founded by Emperor Peter the Great. A year later, Bakov created the Monarchical Party and called for establishing a constitutional monarchy in Russia.

When in early December the Russian team was removed from the 2018 Olympic Games against the backdrop of a doping scandal, Bakov invited Russian athletes to speak under the flags of the Romanov Empire. He specified that it was not presented in the International Olympic Committee.
