Hack of VKontakte

Good night, dear readers. Today, at 22.01, a hacking of the social network VKontakte occurred. Unknown, having hacked the site, published on behalf of the fake group the imitating "Medusa" was thrown into information about the death of Alexei Navalny. Then, they made reposts of this entry in all large groups (including ours). After which the group was banned, and the posts were urgently removed. Groups of VK administration (even closed) were also subjected to hacking.

Alexei himself denied this information on his Twitter.

Immediately a huge number of comments poured that this is the machinations of Navalny/Opposition/Kremlin, we ask you to maintain composure and understand the situation a little.

The Kremlin does not need an extra PR of an opposition candidate at all, especially with hints that the “murder” committed power.
The opposition hardly collects money to buy a microphone (and a hacking of such a site requires a huge amount of resources).
And Navalny, in spite of the incomprehensible from where the major financing, simply does not have the necessary competence for the organization of such an event.

We continue to monitor the development of the situation, and we are waiting for a comment from VKontakte.

Z.Ya: The VKontakte administration said that the vulnerability was eliminated, while the attackers could not get access to users. There are no refinements with the hacking.

Z.Y.: There is also a version that this is a joke from VKontakte itself.

At the moment, this is not possible, since VK has long been not the company that can take a chance for its position for the sake of an interesting performance, as it was under Durov.
