An administrative protocol was drawn up against Ilya Yashin

An administrative protocol was drawn up against municipal deputy of the Krasnoselsky district of Moscow Ilya Yashin. This was reported by Ekho Moskvy, citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The police considered the event, which took place today in Lermontovsky Square, to be an uncoordinated public event.

Today, the organizers of the “Free Election Day” holiday were forced to abandon the idea of ​​holding the holiday due to opposition from the police. Yashin announced that instead of a holiday, a meeting of citizens would be held in Lermontovsky Square. The event took place almost without arrests - a man with a quadcopter was detained in a nearby courtyard, but was quickly released.

Yesterday, the Moscow City Court took preliminary protective measures in the case of banning the holiday organized by Yashin in order to prevent the event from taking place before the court decision came into force.

On December 24, Yashin was going to hold a regional holiday “Free Election Day.” To do this, he sent a letter to the prefecture of the Central Administrative District informing about the holiday (according to the law, the deputy does not have to go through the procedure for approving a regional holiday).

The prefecture stated that the event needed to be coordinated and sent corresponding letters to Yashin and at the same time to the prosecutor's office. The deputy himself complained there about the illegal, in his opinion, actions of the Central Administrative District prefecture.

Later, the Meshchansky Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office of Moscow sent Yashin a notice about the inadmissibility of holding an “unauthorized rally” in the form of the district holiday “Free Election Day.”

After this, Yashin filed a complaint with the Tagansky District Court of Moscow against Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

On December 24, the Moscow City Hall approved a rally by Dmitry Gudkov. On December 20, Gudkov withdrew the application.

Afterwards, deputy of the Krasnoselsky municipal district from United Russia, Alevtina Bazeeva , asked the court to cancel the decision of the council of deputies to hold “Free Election Day”, since it was not published and did not enter into legal force.
