Publicist Boris Stomakhin, convicted of calling for terrorism on the Internet, was taken to prison in the city of Balashov, Saratov region, after being detained. Human rights activist Gleb Edelev talks about this.

On April 20, 2014, the Moscow District Military Court sentenced Boris Stomakhin to three years in prison. Taking into account the previous sentence - six and a half years - the publicist received a total of seven years in a maximum security colony. Stomakhin was found guilty of public calls for terrorism under Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code for the material “Or blow up a couple of railway stations here...”. In the text, the author calls the terrorist attack in Volgograd in 2013 fair retribution for Russia’s crimes against the population of Chechnya. According to the lawyer, Stomakhin did not have access to the Internet, and he could not publish the article, since he was in pre-trial detention center No. 4 “Medvedkovo”.
