2016 Tu-154 crash near Sochi

A year ago, on December 25, 2016, during takeoff from Adler Airport, a Tu-154 airliner of the Russian Air Force crashed into the sea, flying on the route Moscow - Sochi - Latakia (Syria). All 92 people on board were killed, including the famous philanthropist Elizaveta Glinka and 65 members of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after A.V. Alexandrov, headed by the artistic director of the ensemble, Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov.

The cause of the plane's death has not yet been established. Pilot error, aircraft overload and explosion on board are considered as causes. However, no terrorist group claimed responsibility for the death of the Tu-154.
