The timing of a new meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has not yet been discussed, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, RIA Novosti reports .

Putin and Trump spoke at the APEC summit in Danang, where they approved an important joint statement on Syria, Lavrov recalled. After that, they also spoke on the phone three times - once in November and twice in December, RIA Novosti clarifies. Communication between Putin and Trump has been quite intensive lately, Lavrov noted. They discuss various topics, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the Foreign Minister added.

"We had a great conversation with President Putin. We talked about peace in Syria, that's very important. We talked about North Korea. The phone call lasted almost an hour and a half," Trump told reporters about one of his conversations with Putin.
