Donald Trump accused China of oil supply of North Korea bypassing the sanctions of the UN Security Council. The US president wrote about this on Twitter.

"Caught with red -handed - it is extremely disappointed that China allows oil supplies to North Korea. There will never be a peaceful resolution of the conflict with the DPRK, if it continues," Trump noted.

On the eve of the South Korean edition of The Chosunilbo published an article that states that Washington since October has identified at least 30 cases of oil pumping in the open sea from Chinese tankers to the DPRK tankers. According to the publication, this is confirmed by satellite pictures.

"Oil continues to act sulfur Korea, this is not what I am achieving," Trump said in an interview with the new York Times. According to the president, he can "look a little differently" at trading with China if this country does not help in the situation with the DPRK nuclear program. During the election campaign, Trump has repeatedly stated that he intends to significantly increase duties on goods exported by China in the United States.

Beijing denies information about oil pumping to North Korean tankers, reports Reuters. However, a source in the US State Department said that the US authorities are aware of the courts participating in such operations that "belong to companies in several countries, including China."

On December 22, the UN Security Council tightened sanctions against the DPRK . The resolution, the project of which was introduced, was adopted unanimously. In accordance with the document from January 1, 2018, no more than 500 thousand barrels of oil products and no more than 4 million barrels (525 tons) of raw oil are allowed to supply to North Korea. It is also a ban on the sale of industrial equipment, vehicles, steel and other metals.

The same resolution prohibits export from the DPRK of food products and agricultural goods, a number of minerals, ore, electric goods and other equipment. In addition, members of the Security Council also condemned the illegal export of coal from the DPRK and called on all states to stop it. Countries are allowed to stop, search and detain ships following from North Korea or into it.

Also, all states are prescribed in a two -year term from the date of adoption of the document to deport all North Korean workers to their homeland.

On December 15, Trump, following a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, said that the US authorities are counting on more assistance from Moscow in resolving the issue of Nuclear and missile programs of the DPRK. “The main topic was the discussion of North Korea, because we would really like to get it (Putin. - Ed.) Help. China helps, but Russia not. We would like to have assistance from Russia,” Trump said.
