People came to Navalny’s Sochi headquarters demanding to call the coordinator to “talk to him like a man”

In Sochi, six people came to the headquarters of opposition politician Alexei Navalny and threatened coordinator Konstantin Zykov for his speech before the mayor of the city Anatoly Pakhomov, Zykov himself and an employee of the headquarters Olesya Christenko told Mediazona.

According to the activist, six people entered the headquarters, opening the doors on their own. Unknown people began to look for something in the room and demand the presence of the coordinator “to talk to him like a man, because he is not responsible for his words.” In addition, those who came pulled out the cord of the video camera and used obscene language towards other employees of the headquarters. Activists called police and security to the headquarters. Now they are all writing explanations.

The day before, Zykov attended a meeting of the city head with young people, which took place in the Sochi administration. At the event, the coordinator asked the mayor why representatives of youth environmental organizations, Navalny’s supporters and the local youth branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation were not invited to the meeting, and also tried to ask a question about the construction of a waste incineration plant in Sochi.

Zykov said that the people who broke into the headquarters had already disrupted events held by Navalny’s supporters. However, these people refuse to give their names. In August and September, they prevented activists from holding single pickets, used obscene language towards them and threatened them with physical violence. In addition, they called the police to the headquarters several times, after which all Navalny’s supporters were taken to the department.
