British musician, former drummer of The Beatles Ringo Starr received the title of knight, according to the official bulletin of the British government The London Gazette.
Ringo Starr was awarded a knighthood for services to music. He received it under his real name, Richard Starkey. The rank of knight will allow him to add the prefix "sir" to his name.
The Bee Gees co-founder Barry Gibb was also knighted. He received it for achievements in music and contributions to charity.
